The Story of Lord Ganesha – A Learning Experience at Hello Kids Flamingo
At Hello Kids Flamingo Preschool, Malad West, children were introduced to the fascinating story of the birth of Lord Ganesha through an engaging and age-appropriate storytelling session.

According to the traditional story, Goddess Parvati created Ganesha from sandalwood paste and gave him life. She asked him to guard the entrance while she went to bathe. When Lord Shiva returned, Ganesha stopped him from entering, as he did not know who Shiva was.

A disagreement followed, and Ganesha was eventually beheaded. Seeing Parvati's sorrow, Lord Shiva promised to bring Ganesha back to life. He instructed his followers to bring the head of the first living being they found facing north. They returned with the head of an elephant, and Lord Shiva placed it on Ganesha's body, bringing him back to life.

Lord Shiva then blessed Ganesha and declared him to be Vighnaharta – the remover of obstacles, and one who would be worshipped before beginning important occasions.

🌼 Learning Through Storytelling

Through this traditional story, children explored themes of love, obedience, family bonds, forgiveness, and new beginnings. Storytelling also helped children develop their listening skills, imagination, vocabulary, and ability to understand sequences of events.

At Hello Kids Flamingo, cultural stories and festival celebrations are thoughtfully incorporated into early learning, helping children connect classroom experiences with India's rich traditions and heritage
